Primo expands executive team

Primo International elevated John DeFalco from his current office as vice president of sales for the US, to executive vice president of sales and marketing. The family-owned furniture importer and manufacturer also commissioned Bill Gowing as vice president of sales and product development, and Mark Price as national sales manager for the US. Primo President David Itzkovitz said that expanding the entire sales and marketing arm of the firm has been made necessary by its explosive growth. Primo products include stationary upholstery, sofa-sleepers, futtons, bedding and glider rockers.

Samuel Lawrence revamps sales team, expands capacity
Article Abstract:
Samuel Lawrence Furniture announced a reorganization of its field management team, which include the entry of Ken Eakin as national sales manager, a newly-created position. It will be Eakin's first stint with the furniture industry after having spent 20 years with the sales and management aspects of the medical industry. As part of the revamp, Marc Alters, who used to be eastern regional sales manager, has been named national accounts manager. At the same time, president and CEO Sam Fees said a 160,000 sq-ft warehouse and distribution center is being constructed by Samuel Lawrence.
