Quatrine fills niche for slipcovered upholstery
Article Abstract:
Quatrine of Torrance, CA, a seller of slipcover upholstery that was established in 1989, is projecting sales of over $8 million in 1998. The nine-store retail chain, founded by Gina and Bill Ellis, moved into the manufacturing field in 1997 in order to exercise more control on the products they sell, a move that has resulted in increased revenues. Quatrine, which has locations in California, Colorado, Texas, Michigan and Illinois, is planning to put up additional outlets in Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, Louisiana and Florida.
