Sears Canada sales slip, profits dip 16.3%
Article Abstract:
Toronto's Sears Canada, the furniture and bedding company, has experienced a slight sales decrement of 0.8 percent to Canadian $1.32 billion in the first quarter of 2005. The net income also decreased by 16.3 percent to Canadian $13.9 million from last year. The decrease is due to the long winter in Canada, which affected the main clothing categories.
