Karen Borroughs and Gary Hayre have built a masterpiece home called The Holly and The Ivy, with eight gardens, a collection of antiques on par with a small museum and pasturing sheep. Though she is a city girl, all the plants and animals thrive under her care and she raises both Scottish black-faced sheep with long white wool and Persian Karakul sheep that yields wool in various shades that is used for the best Persian rugs and a pair or llamas protects the sheep from wild dogs.
