There has been a mixed response from the furniture and furnishing industries regarding the change of name and membership criteria to the American furniture Manufacturers Association now to be known as the American Home Furnishings Alliance. As a result of declining membership, the Alliance has opened doors to all, Non- US and US manufacturers who wholesale in the US are eligible for membership.
