The Spencer-Peirce-Little House, Newbury, Massachusetts
Article Abstract:
The English manor house built in 1690 stood out among New England's predominantly frame houses. It is one of only two remaining examples of the unique cross-shaped or cruciform building style. It has been restored by the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities.

Living in the village: Colonial Williamsburg
Article Abstract:
Williamsburg, VA, is home to some of the historic houses built during the colonial period. To date several houses have been restored such as the William Randolph Lodgings, the Russell House along the Duke of Gloucester Street and the Palmer House.

The Gardner kitchen house
Article Abstract:
A small two-story outbuilding believed to be a kitchen or servants' quarters adjacent to the Gardner house in Ansonborough neighborhood was transformed into a modern dwelling. The house features early American furniture and cabinet designs.
