Transamerica takes control of Cantrex
Article Abstract:
Transamerica Commercial Finance Corp. Canada has gained effective control of furniture and home furnishings buying and marketing company Cantrex Group via election of directors during a special stockholders' meeting. Transamerica Commercial controls around 76% of outstanding shares at Cantrex Group, stated Transamerica Commercial President Peter Kelley who will now lead Cantrex Group after the board's size was cut down to six members. Kelley indicated that Transamerica Commercial erquires around 70,000 shares more to make Cantrex Group a private company.
