Venue change may boost Salao do Movel Brasil

The fifth annual Salao do Movel Brasil (SDMB) show, still does not have a strong U.S. buying presence, but a change of venue to Sao Paulo could help change that. The SDMB remains primarily a show for high-end Brazilian retailers, but the change of venue could be good news for exhibitors here interested in the U.S. market.

The United States furniture companies made a little presence in the Cologne International Furniture Fair in 2005. Only ten United States companies of the total 1,300 companies participated in the fair. Some United States companies did not participate but looked through other stalls in a quest for new ideas.
