Vietnam government leaving hands off
Article Abstract:
The antidumping investigation of the US government against the Chinese bedroom furniture in the US markets is forcing the government of Vietnam to not to subsidize its furniture makers. However, the vice minister of Vietnam's Ministry of Trade Mai Van Dau says that the government is making every effort to create an accommodative environment for the industry's success.

Vietnamese pleased with High Point show
Article Abstract:
The participants in the Vietnamese exhibition held in High Point in April 2004 reported strong buyer interest and were enthusiastic about returning to the exhibition in April 2005 at Highpoint. The Vietnamese Ministry of Trade was happy with the results and hoped for a double participation in the next Vietnamese exhibition.

Government upgrading country's ports, roads
Article Abstract:
The Vietnamese government has embarked upon a master plan to improve surface transport and ports. Vietnam has six cluster ports and plans are afoot to double the capacity at ports from the present 26 million tons by the year 2010.
