Major product introductions, demand shifts, inventory movements, and so on, are the usual economic recoveries that are seen in the furniture industry. However, the growth of the Asian furniture industry, particularly China's, and the changing trends in the international trade of the furniture products has changed the whole scenario.

Shouldn't housing boom be gold mine for furniture?
Article Abstract:
According to recent study the main reason for low increase in furniture sales for the year of 2004 was because of 36% of all housing sales in US were second-hand houses. This includes vacation homes, which are given for rents, and also investment homes.

Customers would like to buy a product that provides them comforts, rather than the products that are cheaper. Hence there is a need switch back to no-no-no promos.
