Australian experiments in wage policy
Article Abstract:
Appropriate policies for managing wages involve agreement and involvement by participants, labour unions, employers and government bodies, if they are to achieve success. This success can be measured in terms of control of inflation, and finding a solution to disputes. The Australian Industrial Relations Commission has helped support a structure which enables wages to be managed, and enhanced the performance of the Accord pact for control incomes in Australia in the 1980s.
