Diseases like dermatitis is caused by contact with substances like cement, plasters, concretes and bricks during the hours of work. Revitalising construction action plan of the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) is described, which sets a target for occupational health.

The vanity and the reality of having a good safety record are investigated. It is stated that winning a safety award is the vanity, conducting safety inspection or audits is the sanity, but the reality is the lack of adequate hazard control that leads to an accident.
