Denmark: Government withdraws unemployment benefit cuts

Article Abstract:

The government has withdrawn the unemployment benefit cuts for highly paid workers in the face of criticism from both employers and trade unions. A number of cuts such as a reduction in the amount of money devoted to special training courses for young people and reduction in access to unemployment benefits would have structural consequences for the unemployment insurance system.
