Flexible hours more important than cash

Article Abstract:

The survey results of an online initiative conducted by reed.co.uk in association with Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) aimed at familiarizing people about the latest Employment Act 2002 revealing amongst other things that employees prefer flexible hour over other benefits. Another telephone service started by DTI for providing suggestions to employers and parents about their new rights has been mentioned.

Industrial action in banking sector

The Irish Bank Officials Association have expressed their support for industrial action as a protest to the outsourcing of some banking operations. The Bank of Ireland has decided to outsource its technology and information operations to Hewlett-Packard.
