The investigation of the current legal framework regarding the workplace vehicles and the prevention of the workplace vehicles accidents are reported. An Health and Safety Executive (HSE) CD-ROM that is used to help the employers to develop safe systems of work at their workplace is evaluated.

The impact of the increased number of small and medium size firms and the decrease in union membership on occupational health is examined. Government strategies to cut days lost from work through ill health or injury by 30% by 2010 are assessed.
