Labour means good health for business

Article Abstract:

The UK Conservative government argues that introducing higher standards of occupational health and safety will reduce the competitiveness of industry. This is a very misguided view, according to the Labour party. Indeed, there is both a humanitarian and an economic requirement to ensure that occupational health and safety standards are maintained. The Labour party will work extensively to improve general standards of health in the UK if it wins the next election, and will give particular attention to the causes of ill-health.

Criteria for high integrity graphics

Article Abstract:

Business decision makers should be aware that the formatting options of business graphics software can result in a graph giving a distorted idea of the data. The graph should conform to the data, abide by standard temporal and sign conventions and contain correct labels. There must not be a larger number of dimensions in the graph than exists in the data, nor unusual scaling be used. The scale range should approximate the data range and care should be taken not to omit data or make arbitrary changes in grid proportions.
