Human resource management and business strategy links: an empirical study

Article Abstract:

Information collected from 200 Spanish companies gives a valuable insight into the relationships between types of business strategy and human resource practices. Particular attention has been given to whether human resource management practices change with business strategy. It was established that there is some evidence to support a contingency approach to links between strategy and human resource management. Some human resource management practices do not vary with company strategy.
