"Promise and peril in implementing pay-for-performance" by Michael Beer and Mark D. Canon

Article Abstract:

Decisions related to payments of employees should be left to managers, HR professionals, and their consultants, as there is no pay-for-payment plan that would definitely work when implemented unilaterally. Thomas Kochan provides some principles for pay-for-performance plans in order to be successful and sustainable.

Strategic human capital management in SMEs: an empirical study of entrepreneurial performance

Article Abstract:

The association between human capital management (HCM) and human resources management (HRM) practices and the ability of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to be entrepreneurial is discussed. The study suggests that HCM plays an important role in the integration of the HR system.

The effects of diversity on business performance: report of the diversity research network

Article Abstract:

Diversity Research Network studied the relationships between race, gender diversity and performance of four large organizations. It was observed that diversity had positive as well as negative impact on business performances.
