Article Abstract:

Ergonomic guidelines have the potential of becoming a useful tool if they are evaluated and tested and found to be appropriate to the industry to which they are being applied. In trying to evaluate the effectiveness of an ergonomic guideline, it is essential to determine how well it identifies the risk factors present, its effectiveness in reducing exposure and its benefits to the health of the workers.

The high life

Article Abstract:

The major reason for fatal accidents at work in UK is the falls from heights, which means the workers falling from high ladders, roofs and high work platforms. The management must take good care to avoid such circumstances by maintaining the equipments in good condition, using appropriate safety measures and providing proper training to the workers.

Keeping the older worker healthy and safe

Article Abstract:

The Equal Research Network held a workshop on Keeping The Older Worker Healthy And Safe where issues relating to occupational health, the implications for extending working life and returning to work after serious illness were discussed. Further, methods to prevent occupational ill health and maintain safe working conditions are mentioned.
