The wage policy of firms: comparative evidence for the US and Germany from personnel data
Article Abstract:
The conformity of wage structures with economic theories is examined through a comparative study of two firms in Germany and the US under the same management. Focus is placed on the link between hierarchy and wage structure. A statistical analysis of the study is presented.
