Answering back: Anderson's critics deliver mixed reviews
Article Abstract:
Insurance representatives are quick to counter Anderson Kill and Olick founder Eugene Anderson's criticisms against the insurance industry. While Anderson believes that insurers do not pay claims in the hope that claimants will not put up with the cumbersome process, senior partner at Epstein Becker & Green David E. Manoogian contends that laws and regulations compel insurers to pay claims. Anderson also criticizes the mind-set among insurers that people are always trying to commit fraud. Manoogian disputes this, saying there will always be some who will try to take advantage of the system.

Despite his move to the private sector, Laurenzano is still a firm believer in the regulation of insurance at the state level.
