Companies offer career management for couples
Article Abstract:
Promotions and compensation packages greatly contribute to the retention of key personnel in a company. However, the personal interests of employees and their spouses should also be considered for these are closely related. Jannotta, Bray and Assoc prepared a program wherein the couples' broader goals for career management are considered. The program, called Lifework Partners, was designed so that the conflicting interests of spouses can be remedied and the company avoids the loss of important employees.

Employee assistance programs
Article Abstract:
Managers can formulate employee assistance programs (EAP) to address a range of psychological and substance abuse programs that would eventually benefit employees and employers alike. EAPs however, can pose legal problems as employees may see EAPs as punishment and grounds for termination. It is therefore paramount that employers remain careful of EAP procedures so that employees view EAPs as constructive.
