Industry says it's no surprise
Article Abstract:
Insurance companies are not surprised by the findings of an America's Research Group survey indicating that many customers have a good image of their insurers and insurance agents. The survey's results are similar to those of other customer satisfaction studies conducted by trade associations. However, some executives question the accuracy of the study, since many of the respondents in the survey had long-term relationships with insurance agents.

The life agent service contract: beyond lip service
Article Abstract:
A life insurance service contract that would specify an insurance agent's responsibilities after an insurance policy is sold would improve policyholder relations and provide cross-selling opportunities. Services that should be stated in such a document include a periodic analysis of variable and interest-sensitive life insurance products, a comprehensive annual review and assistance in asset allocation planning.
