Helping agents to develop
Article Abstract:
Agent retention is vital to the insurance industry, which is plagued by high turnover. Agency managers should begin retention work during the recruiting process, and they have several methods at their disposal for identifying suitable candidates. It is important that training begin with client reviews, which are useful in helping candidates establish bonds with clients. Other strategies include cross-training, continuing education, goal-setting and the creation of a work setting that instills pride in new agents.

Article Abstract:
Bankers are attempting to convince Congress that banks should be allowed to expand into non-traditional banking services, such as insurance, real estate and securities.
