Life insurance still makes a good pension
Article Abstract:
A life insurance product called a 'private pension' can enable an individual to take charge of their retirement income program and defer taxation on the income even when the money is being withdrawn. These private pension plans can be established without the regulations and paperwork that other pension plans require. A variable universal life or premium universal life policy enables a person to set aside money in any amount.

Variable life can be a real hot potato
Article Abstract:
Variable life insurance can offer much sales opportunity to insurance agents, but it can also lead agents into trouble if they sell variable life for the wrong reasons. Agents should follow the guidelines set by the National Assn of Securities Dealers. Furthermore, agents should not sell the product by illustrating the product at 12%, or even 10%, which would result in many unhappy customers after a ten-year period.
