Well-designed tools ease implementation of flexible benefits
Article Abstract:
Employers that offer flexible 'cafeteria-style' fringe benefit plans can achieve successful implementation by using a well designed communications program and an easy-to-use enrollment form which helps their employees choose the most appropriate options. A communications program should include continuing updated information about the plan as well as information about the company's culture. Well designed forms require no more than 15 minutes to complete, and they contain all information necessary for the employee to make decisions.

Ancillary benefits in the 1990s
Article Abstract:
Demographic changes in the US labor market are expected to affect employee benefits plans. To meet the needs of a shrinking, older and more diverse labor force, companieswill focus on ancillary benefits to improve their programs. Vision care, mentalhealth care, child care and employee wellness programs are expected to be most in demand by the year 2000. Whatever form these improvements may take, successful implementation will largely depend on top management support.
