Harleysville Mutual Insurance Co, Homestead Insurance Co and The Chubb Group of Insurance Cos have introduced new property insurance policies. Harleysville's garage owner's program is targeted at the automotive after sale market. Homestead's food and beverage program, issued by Gemini General Insurance Agency, is directed at small restaurants, while Chubb's risk management and loss prevention program is aimed at museums and other cultural institutions.

Kemper National establishes mechanical breakdown program

Kemper National Insurance Cos are introducing an electrical and mechanical breakdown insurance policy named Policy On. The policy limits risk to $18.75 million and covers both accident and business interruption costs for manufacturing and non-manufacturing businesses. Other provisions provide coverage for such costs as overtime wages and transportation charges.

Harleysville establishes funeral directors' program

Harleysville Mutual Insurance Co offers personal property liability coverage for funeral directors in two versions. The basic coverage premium is $175 while the deluxe package premium costs $225.
