Article Abstract:
Pricing structures are determined by a company's attitude and values. Successful companies must take risks in terms of insurance and investments. Delivery method to the consumer is very important in pricing. Types of available resources, human and financial, are also key in pricing. Finally, the competitive environment must be considered. This goes beyond the insurance industry to include financial institutions. Old profit criteria do not always apply. Risk criteria may be more appropriate.
