Using "sensitivity analysis" to determine sharing in incentive plans
Article Abstract:
The amount of incremental gains shared via a short-term or annual incentive award plan may be determined by performing sensitivity analysis on payout matrices. Sensitivity analysis may also be used to modify the incentive plan to fit the particular needs of a business. Compensation managers may also create what-if scenarios by adjusting the payout matrices to identify the best-case scenario for each component of the incentive plan based on amounts shared.

Recognition award programs

Formal recognition programs may incorporate a variety of award options and provide a way to recognize employee achievements. Recognition programs demonstrate senior management support, give guidelines for selection and show employees the logic of selection processes. Award options that may be included are key contributions awards, immediate awards and encouragement awards.
