A tribute to Dean William C. Warren

Article Abstract:

William C. Warren served as dean of Columbia Law School from 1952 to 1970 and has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Law Review for 38 years up to his resignation in 1992. When Warren became dean, the law school faced financial difficulties; under his direction, a new building was constructed for the school, faculty salaries were increased and admission standards were raised.

In memoriam - Curtis J. Berger

Article Abstract:

Colleagues memorializing the life of the late Columbia law professor Curtis Burger were unanimous in noting his passionate love of teaching and his unstinting gentleness and civility with students. Berger was praised as an outstanding scholar in the area of property rights and as a true humanitarian.
