An empirical investigation of Japanese consumer ethics
Article Abstract:
The ethical ideology of consumers and their perceptions of different ethical behavior in consumer ethics were examined via a sample of Japanese consumers. Among the advantages of the Japanese market over other potential foreign markets for American companies are size and purchasing power. A cultural movement in Japan suggested the need for consumers to adopt a set of relatively strict ethical standards. The results suggested several factors affecting Japanese consumers' ethical ideology such as age and education, gender and marital status.

Ethics and the accounting publishing process: author, reviewer, and editor issues
Article Abstract:
A survey was conducted to examine the codes of ethics of authors, reviewers and editors of accounting articles. A total of 95 journal editors responded to the survey and evaluated publishing practices as either ethical or unethical. The most unethical practices rated by the journal editors were plagiarism and falsification of data. They were less critical with editor-related practices than reviewer-related ones.
