Beamed to the courthouse:Superior Court in Washington, D.C., opens high-tech domestic violence center

Article Abstract:

The Superior Court in Washington, D.C., opened a high-tech domestic violence center in Oct 2002 at the Greater Southeast Hospital. The center includes a video camera, connected to the courthouse by means of a dedicated T-1 line, so that judges do not need to require victims to make a long trip downtown in order to receive assistance.

Depreciation bust: economic stimulus package questioned

Article Abstract:

The technology industry is displeased that an expansion to the depreciation bonus was not included in Pres Bush's economic stimulus proposal. And many high-tech companies are dubious about the president's aim of eliminating taxes on stock dividends.

New bills promise improved courthouse security
