Beasley, class of '99; for $20 million or so, Temple has renamed its law school after a lawyer
Article Abstract:
Temple University law school becomes in mid-1999 the James E. Beasley School of Law, joining the several donor-renamed schools. Donations to other donor-renamed law schools were all in the millions of dollars, but the amount of Beasley, a noted and somewhat controversial Philadelphia personal injury attorney's, donation has not been disclosed. Critics cite concerns such as the possibility of conflict and also curtailment of other donations.
