Business ethics in Spain

Article Abstract:

The development of business in Spain since 1940 is discussed in its economic, political, social and cultural aspects to examine how the attitudes, ethical values and problems of the Spanish managers changed as years passed. Several relevant problems were investigated, particularly on how businesses perceived the State and the law, the grey economy, corruption, irregular labour and taxation, to better understand the global evolution of business ethics.

Ethics in finance and public policy: the Ibercorp case

Article Abstract:

Ibercorp is a financial group involved in legally and ethically questionable activities that were disclosed in and sensationalized by the media. The case has become the headline in newspapers between 1992 and 1995. The public's interest on the issue was stimulated by the fact that the individuals involved are Spanish politicians, public employees, businesspeople and the media which illustrates the consequences of an easy profit business method.
