CAFE's recipe for "light trucks."(Corporate Average Fuel Economy)
Article Abstract:
Observers criticize the creation of the Corporate Average Fuel Economy standard for light trucks. They claim that the standard set for cars is much more restrictive compared to light trucks both in weight and miles per gallon. It appears that CAFE disguises itself under a government's fuel conservation policy when actually it stands to subsidize domestic compact car production while treating separately domestically produced and imported vehicles.
