CLE is everywhere
Article Abstract:
Continuing legal education (CLE) is becoming increasingly convenient. Emerging technologies are delivering CLE to both home and office and are providing lawyers with excellent opportunities to learn and network with other attorneys. CD-ROM offers the best promise for delivering the ideal CLE approach that enables practicing lawyers to decide where and when they would participate in CLEs. CD-ROMs provide the interactive formats and quick video access required by this approach. Satellite programs that take place in real time and are delivered to dozens of locations and hundreds of viewers also offer viable CLE opportunities. These programs offer the immediacy of live television and allow audience members to direct questions to instructors via telephone and fax. The Internet also features valuable CLE capabilities. The Internet is readily available all day, every day, and it easily transmits both written and audio CLEs.

History online!
Article Abstract:
'Legislative histories' can be researched via the Internet. Such information can be important when a statute needs to be interpreted, and what legislators intended when they enacted a law. Currently, the amount of legislative history material available varies, with some juristictions providing a wider range of materials than others. Researchers are cautioned to confirm the accuracy and currency of their research tools.
