Consultants on Consultants
Article Abstract:
A number of members of the American Society for Industrial Security work as security consultants. A group of five such individuals met to discuss their views on the field of consulting and on their work in the security field subsequent to government or military service. Security consultation is expensive and usually completed under deadline. Consultants are found through directories, at security conventions or by word of mouth. The length of each assignment rarely exceeds three weeks. Security consultants can save corporations substantial amounts of money. They can also be sued for their recommendations. Specialties that security consultants will be increasingly more involved in include sabotage and terrorist activity.

A Cost-Effective Approach to Security Training
Article Abstract:
Security costs a company money. Lack of security costs money. Cost effectiveness in security means effective training programs. The programs should be tailored to the company needs, use minimal time and be realistic. A security training program can be developed by a five-step process. The steps include analyzing the job, training the instructors and implementing reality tests. A good security program is comprehensive while being simple and manageable.
