EC-ACP economic partnership agreements and WTO compatibility: An experiment in North-South interregional agreement?
Article Abstract:
The trade relations between the European Communities (EC) and the African, Caribbean and Pacific group of States (ACP) are governed by a series of bilateral treaties known as Contonou Partnership Agreement, but the key features of this trade relationship is in the midst of negotiation for a new set of trade arrangement to be called Economic Partnership Agreements. The negotiation agenda contains several experiments in North-South trade relations and the configuration of regional trade agreements.

When East meets West: Approximation of laws in the EU-Mediterranean context
Article Abstract:
The relationship between the European Union and its neighboring countries in the Mediterranean are critically examined. The analysis is mainly focused on the EU-Israel relations and the findings are applicable to other countries facing pressure to approximate their laws to those of economic superpowers with which they have asymmetric economic, trade and political relations.
