Endangered again; a government effort to reintroduce predators to the wild is pitting conservationists against ranchers in a struggle for judicial intervention on nature's law for the survival of the fittest

Article Abstract:

A pending 10th Circuit suit, Wyoming Farm Bureau Federation v. Babbitt, on a possible governmental violation of the Endangered Species Act with its reintroduction of wolves to the Yellowstone region dismayed environmentalists when the judge ruled the program illegal and ordered wolves removed from the areas. Other similar cases are pending and to those earning their living from the land predatory animals are responsible for killing their livelihoods. Doctrines of state's and property owners' rights also support their side.
