Getting personal: a look at what a small-, mid- and large-size firm use for time and billing

Article Abstract:

A small law firm, a mid-sized one and a large one need different time and billing software products to make their businesses operate efficiently. For example, Atkinson & Thal, Albuquerque, N.M., a five-attorney law firm, has used Software Technology Inc's TABS software since the firm opened in 1992. Cairncross & Hempelmann, Seattle, WA, a 40-attorney firm, has used Omega Legal Systems' time and billing software since 1994. Pillsbury Winthrop, an 850-plus firm that has office in the U.S. and Asia, uses Solution 6 North America's CMS Open software.
