The ASP craze: another "dot-com" or the future of computing in the law office?

A comprehensive discussion on the merits of application service providers (ASP) and how they can be of value to law offices is presented. ASPs rent software applications over the Internet on a subscription basis. Some of the ASPs catering mainly to the legal profession are: Casecentral, Elite.com, ELF Technologies, eJur, eAttorney, 1st legal, JurisdictionUSA, Network Alternatives, Network Technology Group, Niku, realLegal, TWH, Union Square Technology Group and West Group.
