Internet law; does the ADA apply?

Article Abstract:

Issues are discussed regarding a suit by the National Federation of the Blind against America Online to force the latter to make its software compatibile with screen-reader technologies. As the Internet becomes even more conventional, it will become a public accommodation subject to the Americans with Disabilities Act and may have to accommodate those with other handicaps as well.

Viewing 'Olmstead .'(discrimination against the handicapped case)

Article Abstract:

The likely effect of Olmstead v. L.C., which found discrimination against the handicapped for failing to move a mentally retarded woman from an institution to the least restrictive environment, is discussed. The government's plans for complying with this ruling are discussed.

Employers must now make "reasonable accommodation" for handicapped employees, and the need to wrestle with the meaning of this Americans with Disabilities (ADA) Act phrase in each case is discussed.
