Article Abstract:

Proposals for legislation expanding the number of computer crimes cases open to federal prosecution and the US Justice Department Criminal Division's new Computer Crimes and Intellectual Property section are discussed. A further aim is to havnetwork of experts around the US to bridge the problem of these cases being multijurisdictional.

Jury finds doc tried to 'erase' a brain; weird malpractice suit nets $2.1 million in mental health case

Article Abstract:

Drummond v. Dudley, a Washington psychotherapy negligence case against a neuropsychiatrist used powerful drugs to brainwash an autistic patient and turn him into a trained killer, is discussed. The treatment left the autistic patient comatose, and Dudley is alleged to have provided other minors with alcohol and access to firearms.
