Museums that put corporations on display
Article Abstract:
Some worry that the preservation of culture is being replaced with the promotion of products in American museums as corporations provide financing in exchange for permission to advertise their wares on museum grounds. Evidence that a museum's exhibits are influenced by the corporate money is growing as sponsors place more and more restrictions on how their money can be used. Museums should become more reliant on the public dollar, and spend it more wisely, if they hope to avoid the potential conflicts of interest resulting from such conditional sponsorship.

Should corporations care about child care?
Article Abstract:
Employees are demanding more child care options on the job and far-sighted corporations will respond with innovative programs. While there are factors slowing reform, the emergence of working women and the demands of the two-career family on men are changing attitudes. Corporations need to reject antiquated ideas about child care as well as the new 'mommy track' concept in favor of flexible policies based on recognition of the economic and societal value of increased parent-child interaction.

Corporations that confront the scourge of AIDS
Article Abstract:
Corporations have a duty to fight prejudice against AIDS and also to maintain a supportive work environment for those workers who have AIDS. They can achieve the former objective and much of the latter with work-site AIDS education programs. Employees can also become more understanding through volunteer work for AIDS service organizations.
