Routine victimisation in prisons
Article Abstract:
Routine incidents of violence have a greater influence in shaping the daily lives of prisoners. Instead of singular and horrific acts such as sexual assault and murder, regular violent incidents impact inmates more significantly as they happen with higher frequency. These include robbery, cell theft, verbal threats and abuse, assault and ostracism.
