The United States and Iceland had signed a tax treaty to replace the old treaty that both countries have entered into before. The new income tax treaty is discussed, along with the notable amendments on comprehensive limitation on benefits.

Germany's thin capitalization rule does not go against the principle of the free movement of capital according to the European Court of Justice's decision in the Lasertec case. An overview of the Lasertec case is discussed.
