Seeking a benefits balance in the Industrial Design Treaty Revision (Hague Agreement): Fifth Meeting of Experts, held June 13-16, 1995
Article Abstract:
The fifth annual meeting of experts on June 13-16, 1995, regarding revision of the Hague Agreement for the International Deposit of Industrial Designs focused on political considerations and the integration of disparate design application systems. The World Intellectual Property Organization proposed that separate chapters be developed under the treaty for examination and non-examination nations. Until differences in nations' treatment of design protection applications are resolved, the value for many nations of entering into such an agreement will be uncertain.
