Just-in-case: planning for a potential restructuring

Article Abstract:

Borrowers must plan for a restructuring by considering five areas including waiver percentages, general interpretation of contracts, avoidance of early defaults, raising new money and restructuring dynamics. The planning should begin at the same time as the debt is incurred, and important principles are to maintain liquidity and flexibility, realizing that the lenders' identity may change by the time of the restructuring.
