Article Abstract:

The UN International Law Commission's 48th session, conducted during May-June 1996, focused on war crimes, state succession, state responsibility, and reservations to treaties. One of the more significant accomplishments was the work on the Draft Code of Crimes and the Peace and Security of Mankind. Also, a major draft was written dealing with the concept of liability for injurious consequences for acts occurring outside the scope of other international laws.

The forty-seventh session of the International Law Commission

Article Abstract:

The 1995 UN International Law Commission's 47th session focused on topics such as state responsibility for crimes, the draft Code of Crimes, and liability for injurious consequences. The session also focused on the topics of state succession's effect on nationality and the legal aspects of reservations to treaties. The Code of Crimes covers areas such as genocide, aggression, war crimes, and crimes against humanity.
