Article Abstract:

Internally displaced persons are persons who have been forced out of their homes by war or natural disasters, but have not crossed international borders. This article analyzes the proposed London Declaration of International Law Principles on Internally Displaced Persons, drawn up by the International Law Assn, and the rationale behind it.

War and peace in refugee law jurisprudence

Article Abstract:

Persons fleeing wars or civil conflicts are not considered normally refugees under the 1957 United Nations Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees. The authors argue that international humanitarian law provides criteria which could bring some of those fleeing wars under the terms of the 1957 convention.
